We have standard trainings that are listed below and, upon request, can be conducted for local providers and organizations throughout the year. PMAD 101 Training for Mental Health Professionals
Date: January 26, 2018
Location: Seminary of the Southwest, 501 East 32nd St., Austin, TX 78705
Time: 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
Fee: $125 (pre-registration)
This training will be facilitated by Elaine Cavazos, LCSW, (along with a few guest speakers). Participants will learn the ins and outs of assessing for, diagnosing, and treating perinatal mood disorders. This training is ideal for therapists who are interested in beginning to work with individuals and families struggling with a perinatal mood disorder. The training will offer 8 CEU’s with 1 CEU in Ethics. PPHA can provide CEU’s for LCSW’s and LPC’s.

Training Options PPHA Provides

PMAD Certificate Training → 10 Hour training, $300 per individual

This 10-hour small group format training provides the information and tools necessary to assess and treat parents who are struggling with a perinatal mood disorder.

10 Hour PMAD Certificate Training participants will receive:

● 2 hours of pre-reading to help build foundational knowledge of PMADs

● A binder of training materials developed by PPHA

● Digital badge of completion for use on a professional website and social media

● Listing on the PPHA Website as a provider

● CEUs for LPCs and/or Social Work

● Light continental breakfast

● Lunch for participants

PMAD Training → 3 Hour Training, $50 per individual/discount offered for organizations

This 3-hour training provides an overview of PMADs with a focus on community engagement. Identifying risk factors, providing support, reviewing screening tools, and providing information about resources in the Austin area that can help families who are struggling will be included. This training would be well-suited for providers such as community-based wellness providers such as parent child educators, doulas, lactation consultants, etc. Participants will receive:

● CEUs for LPC and/or Social Work

● A folder of handouts and resources

● Non-clinical Provider listing on the PPHA website

PPHA Programs Overview → 1 Hour Training, $10 suggested donation for individuals/$100 suggested donation for organizations

PPHA is a unique and highly successful non-profit organization. We are committed to educating other organizations about our programs and how they help women and their families.
