Voucher Programs

When a person is experiencing a Perinatal Mental Health Disorder, it can be overwhelming to find mental health providers. For those in Williamson, Travis, or Hays counties who are unable to afford the help that is available, we offer two unique programs to bring this help within reach: the Therapy Voucher Program and the Psychiatric Voucher Program.

Kristi’s List

Kristi’s List is a directory of mental health care professionals that specialize in treating perinatal mood and anxiety disorders in the Williamson, Travis, or Hays counties.

Provider Education

PPHA has hosted several conferences and courses about issues pertaining to Perinatal Mental Health Disorders (PMHDs). We now offer these courses online for providers who are looking for continuing education credits.

 

PERINATAL MENTAL HEALTH MATTERS.

Perinatal Mental Health Disorders (PMHDs) can begin during pregnancy and the first year postpartum. The most common complication of childbirth is Postpartum Depression. 1 in 7 women experience Postpartum Depression; however, PMHDs are not just depression. They can include: Anxiety, Depression, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Bipolar Disorder, Psychosis. PMHDs are HIGHLY treatable and there are many excellent resources available!
