Mamas for Mamas is a local free support group for moms experiencing mental health during pregnancy and postpartum. Meets on Monday afternoons from 12:00-1:00 PM via Zoom. Please email Tara at tarasencounseling@gmail.com for Zoom link and more information.
AnyBabyCan partners with families to build stability, develop skills and unlock each child’s full potential. www.anybabycan.org
Black Mamas ATX - provides support through pregnancy and up to 1 year after birth to ensure that mom is supported, thriving and baby successfully reaches the 1 year milestone. On average, mamas are with BMATX up to 18 months. Provide culturally-congruent therapy, case management and referral services for Black Mamas. BMATX facilitates support groups, workshops and classes for pregnant and postpartum clients. Sister Circles are held (virtually) the last Sunday of each month by Sister Doulas. Mamas at any stage in their motherhood journey are welcome to attend. Childcare is provided. www.blackmamasatx.com
Mama Sana Vibrant Woman - provide culturally resonant and quality prenatal and postnatal care in Austin and Travis County. Mama Sana offers a series of 8-week culturally specific support groups along with a range of services including free exercise classes, nutrition support, birth companions/doulas, and access to prenatal midwifery care at no cost. For our participants postpartum experience, we hold ongoing Mama 4 Mama circles to encourage connection and self-care. All sessions include free childcare, a nutritious meal, and transportation assistance. www.msvwatx.org/
Partners in Parenting (PIP) - supports all of Austin’s new parents so they are confident, connected, and have the tools to reach their full potential. Weekly PIPsqueaks Groups utilize the power of peer support for new parents to provide a welcoming and non-judgmental space where families become a support network for each other.
